La investigación arqueológica realizada en el Con- junto de Los Baños de La Malahá ha proporcionado un importan- te registro arqueológico que confirman que el lugar ha sido habi- tado desde comienzos del I milenio a.n.e. hasta la actualidad casi sin interrupción. No obstante, por materiales de superficie la ocu- pación del lugar se puede remontar al III a.n.e.
El condicionante o aglutinante del poblamiento lo desempeñan las fuentes de aguas termales que existían en el lugar. Actualmente se conserva sólo una, cuya construcción a base de grandes sillares puede estar relacionada con la villa romana, asentada sobre niveles ibéricos, documentada en esta actuación arqueológica.

The archaeological research conducted in the Con- junto de Los Baños de Malahá (Thermal Baths of Malahá) have provided an important archaeological record confirming that this site has been inhabited since the beginning of the first millennium BP until the present almost without interruption. Nevertheless, based on the materials of the surface, occupation of the site may reach the third millennium BP.
The thermal waters have been the determining or binding force for settlement. Today only one thermal bath is preserved, the construction of which, based on large ashlars appears to be related to the Roman villa, built over Iberian levels now documented in this archaelogical activity
