    El análisis de las Reglas para la dirección del espíritu revela no sólo el interés temprano que tenía Descartes por la cuestión de la mente y sus relaciones con el cuerpo, sino que demuestra que su idea acerca de lo mental forma parte integral de su programa general para la fundamentación de la Ciencia. Por otra parte, se comprueba que el pensamiento cartesiano sobre la mente no puede ser entendido sin la crítica al paradigma epistemológico aristotélico-escolástico que se expresa en esta trascendental obra.

    The analysis of the Rules for the Direction of the Mind reveals not only the early interest that Descartes had in the mind and its relationship with the body. It also proves that his idea about the mental aspect is an integral part of Descartes� general program for the basic principle of Science. On the other hand, it demonstrates that the Cartesian�s thought regarding the mind could not be understood without the critique of the Aristotelian-scholastic epistemological paradigm that is expressed in this trascendental work.
