    • The Protomedicato and the Inquisition passed away with Napoleon but Spanish Pharmacy don´t suffer from the Independence War. The most important events were the legislations to regulate the pharmacist´s work and the creation for first time the studies of Pharmacy at Madrid, Barcelona, Santiago and Seville. Francisco Carbonell Bravo and Pedro Gutiérrez Bueno were very important pharmacists on the chemistry field because they wrote some books very used by the students and practised persons. Those facts based on that had a great influence on the spanish society for the new legislation to regulate Pharmacy in 1860, the new fifth edition of the spanish Pharmacopoeia (1865), the Faculties of Pharmacy created in 1845 and the Free Faculties of Pharmacy (1868-1874).
