La artritis reumatoide (AR) es una enfermedad autoinmunitaria de evolución variable que puede dejar una deformidad y limitación funcional de difícil solución desde el abordaje médico convencional.
El caso expuesto es el de una paciente que desde los 9 años padecía AR juvenil seronegativa, que evolucionó con gran deformidad y, al llegar a la madurez, persistió sin ninguna mejora. Tras el tratamiento con acupuntura utilizando canales extraordinarios, se consigue una llamativa mejoría en la funcionalidad articular.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease with a variable evolution. During the lifetime, there may be deformity of the joints and movement restriction, recovery through medical treatment is not easy.
This case is about a patient with seronegative juvenile RA since 9 years old which progressed to deformity on reaching maturity. The acupuncture treatment based on Extraordinary Channels obtained a significant improvement in movement restriction.
