A faunistic list of the underground staphylinid beetles from Canary Islands is shown. A total of 25 species (from 9 different genera) are presented, of which 1 is a muscicolous species, 7 are humicolous, 7 edaphobites and 10 troglobites.
The degree of endemims is as high as 96%. The distribution of each species is given and, finally, a brief discussion of the major adaptative characters as well as an analysis of their biogeographical relationships is included.
