Resumen de Toponimia en el libro de privilegios de Fraga y sus aldeas (1232-1337)

En la edición del Libro de privilegios de Fraga y sus aldeas (1232- 1337) publicada por las Cortes de Aragón en 1999, además de la reproducción facsímil del cartulario, se elaboró un cuidado estudio que atendió cuestiones diversas. Ahora, con este artículo, se quiere contribuir a completarlo mediante el análisis de la toponimia menor del Bajo Cinca y de Los Monegros que allí aparece, comprobando su pervivencia y estableciendo su origen. En conjunto, se advierte que los topónimos han estado inmersos en un proceso de renovación, ya que, junto a los nombres que se han conservado intactos (aunque a veces aparezcan latinizados, como Turrem Blancam, Forcallis, Podium Galli, Valle Latronum), existen algunos que han cambiado por etimología popular (La Loberola, La Binorqua, Vallis de Nexme, Vallis Sedonosa), y otros que han desaparecido (Algallur, Las Meloneras, Puyalbeyllo, Alpiquo, Vallis Alcinolle).

In the edition of the Libro de privilegios de Fraga y sus aldeas (1232- 1337) published by the Regional Assembly of Aragon in 1999, as well as the facsimile reproduction of the cartulary, an accurate study was elaborated which dealt with diverse questions. Now, with this article, we wish to contribute to its completion by means of the analysis of the minor toponymy of the areas of Bajo Cinca and Los Monegros that occurs there, verifying its survival and setting its origin. As a whole, we observe that these toponyms have been involved in a process of renovation, due to the fact that, together with the names that have remained intact (although they sometimes appear latinized, like Turrem Blancam, Forcallis, Podium Galli, Valle Latronum), there are some which have changed by popular etymology (La Loberola, La Binorqua, Vallis de Nexme, Vallis Sedonosa), and others that have disappeared (Algallur, Las Meloneras, Puyalbeyllo, Alpiquo, Vallis Alcinolle).
