    En este trabajo se examinan las distintas hipótesis formuladas a partir del siglo XVIII acerca de la identidad del Per Abbat mencionado en el colofón del Poema de mio Cid y de su función en la composición del texto. Además, se documenta la existencia de dos Per Abbad, y de toda una familia de Abbades, que aparecen en el Libro de memoria y aniversarios vinculados al monasterio de San Pedro de Cardeña.

    In this study the author reviews the hypotheses presented since the eighteen century about who was the Per Abbat mentioned in the explicit of the Poema de mio Cid as well as his role in the composition of the text. Moreover, the author documents the existence of two Per Abbad, and a family of Abbades, who appear in the Libro de memorias y aniversarios of the Monastery of San Pedro de Cardeña.
