    Realizamos en este trabajo un estudio de las iconografías de carácter religioso del ámbito espacial y cronológico que denominamos ibérico, con el fin de determinar si algunas de ellas pueden considerarse representaciones de dioses. El resultado de nuestra investigación supone la inexistencia de imágenes de culto en los espacios propiamente sagrados, es decir, los santuarios, al menos para las épocas ibérica arcaica y plena, aunque existen algunas posibles representaciones utilizadas como exvotos (pebeteros en forma de cabeza femenina). Por al contrario, en el ámbito funerario y en otros espacios no propiamente cultuales, se perciben algunos intentos de carácter generalmente aislado, que no parecen haber hallado continuidad y que se verán frustrados por la conquista romana.

    Within this piece of work we carry out an analysis of the religious iconographies in the Iberian frame, considering it from a chronological and physical point of view. Our purpose is to establish wether any of them can be considered a portrait of the different gods or not. Our research results in the non-existence of images of worship in the sacred areas, this is, within the shrines. This can be referred to the Archaic and Middle Iberian periods, although some images used as votive offerings there can be found (thymiateria in the shape of female heads). However some isolated examples can be studied, within some other fields, including the burial one, but these don't seem to be constant and they will be dashed by the Roman Conquest.
