    M. Lipman y P. Freire son dos pensadores comprometidos con las prácticas de la libertad. Para ellos libertad es libertad para aprender a pensar y a ser en comunidades de diálogo, de indagación, de investigación. Es el proyecto que lleva a los seres humanos al conocimiento de sí mismos y al re-conocimiento de los otros. Sin libertad no hay posibilidades existenciales para nuestra humanización. En este trabajo se estudian las propuestas que ambos filósofos proponen para una educación y una pedagogía del aprender a ser libres. Para esto se requiere, según Lipman, desarrollar un pensamiento mutidimensional (creativo, flexible, amplio, abierto, lleno de recursos, complejo, estimulante), que se opone al pensamiento simplificador. Pensar también es filosofar, eso justifica por qué para Lipman se debe hacer filosofía para niñ@s. Por su parte, Freire entiende que el derecho a una educación en libertad es lo que permite resistir y superar cualquier tipo de opresión.

    M. Lipman and P. Freire are two thinkers who support the practice of liberty. Liberty is liberty to learn to think, and to exist in communities of dialogue, questioning, and search. This is the project that leads human beings to understand themselves and recognize others. Without liberty there is no existential possibility for our humanization. In this paper we study the proposals that both philosophers propose for education and for a educational pedagogy of learning to be free. In order to do this, according to Lipman, we need to develop multi-dimensional thought (creative, flexible, wide, open, full of resources, complex, stimulating) with which to oppose simplified thought. Thinking is philosophizing, and this justifies why Lipman insists on philosophy for niñ@s (girls). Freire understands that the right to an education in liberty is what allows us to resist and overcome any type of oppression.
