    La gran influència del filòsof de la política Charles Taylor en el debat teòric dels últims anys, principalment al voltant de l'enfrontament entre les posicions comunitaristes i les liberals, fa necessari abordar el sentit fonamental del seu pensament expressat en qüestions d'actualitat com vénen a ser, entre d'altres temes, la prioritat de la noció del bé per damunt de la noció de justícia, el reconeixement de la diferència, la multiculturalitat, el nacionalisme o la pràctica moral. Tot això tenint en compte el fil analític que recorre l'obra prolífica d'aquest autor: les formes degeneratives que adopta l'individualisme en la societat occidental.

    The great influence of the political philosopher Charles Taylor on the theoretical dispute of the last years, mainly about the confrontation between the Comunitarisms and the Liberals, makes necessary one ' approach at the essential of his thought expressed in questions of the present, among other suggest ways, about the priority of the notion of good over the notion of justice, the recognition of the difference, the multicuitural, the nationalism or the moral practice, always having in rnind the essential analpcal thread that join the prolific work of this author: the degenerative forms that the individualism take in the Westem Society.
