  La transcripción de una lista de xuetes de 1795, ya conocido pero de difícil lectura, proporciona datos interesantes sobre la composición de estas familias de Palma, en aquel momento, y puede ser un buen auxiliar para la investigación genealógica. La lista de un grupo excluido legalmente del servicio militar hasta 1785 es casi coetáneo, en el tiempo, con las luchas de los xuetes en defensa de sus derechos y fue promovido por uno de ellos, el comerciante Antoni Aguiló Pinya. Este hombre lo hizo por cuenta propia, en contra de los suyos, i en connivencia con el poder de Madrid, en circunstancias de cambios políticos y administrativos continuos, guerra contra Francia y situación adversa para los xuetes de todas las clases sociales.

  The 1795 transcript of the recrutment List of "xuetes", althoug known, is difficult to intèrpret. However it provides interesting faets about the composition of these famílies in Palma at the time and it can be usef'ul too! íor genealógica! research. The list oí a group legally excluded írom the military service until 1785 is very cióse in time to the efforts of the Majorcan converted jews slruggling íor their rights and it was promoted by one of them, the trader Antoni Aguiló Pinya. He did it on its own. whithout the agreement of his own people and in connivance whith the government in Madrid where there was aconstant difficult situation whith constant political and administrative changes, a war against France and diííicullies for the "xuetes" of all social backgrounds.
