    Los esfuerzos de la Unión Europea y de sus Estados miembros han sido relevantes durante los últimos años en torno a mejorar los efectos negativos que influyen en el cambio climático. En tal sentido, se ha unido a otras políticas que tienen incidencia en el medio ambiente: energía, transporte, agricultura e industria y hasta de fiscalidad, economía doméstica, usos del suelo y silvicultura. Actualmente (abril 2002) la Comunidad ha finalizado su procedimiento interno y la mayoría de sus Estados miembros para depositar (15 + 1) los instrumentos de ratificación en Naciones Unidas, de tal forma que el Protocolo de Kyoto pueda entrar en vigor para la...     The efforts of the European Union and its member States have been useful during the Past few years to improve the negative effects influencing climatic change. Related to this matter other policies which would influence the environment in such areas as energy, transport, agriculture and industry and even fiscal and domestic economy and land use have been drawn out to be implemented in a comprehensive policy.
