Resumen de Sobre deporte y sociedad en el mundo contemporáneo

No es posible dudar de la importancia que en el mundo actual ha adquir el fenómeno deportivo. Es suficiente con acercarse a los diferentes med de comunicación para comprobar como, muy a menudo, ocupa mayor pacio y tiempo que otras cuestiones sociales tradicionalmente conside das como más serias e importantes. En el presente trabajo pretenden realizar un acercamiento a diferentes interpretaciones sobre Ias funcior sociales que el deporte ha cumplido y cumple desde su configuración a lo largo del siglo XIX en Inglaterra, resaltando su estrecha vinculación coi evolución de la sociedad industrial.

It is not possible to be boubted the importance that sport has in the present wolrd. It is enough with approaching the space that occupies in differents mass media: we can see as it receives a treatment similar or superior to other "serious" subjets like politics or culture. In this work we made an approach to different interpretations on the social function that it has developed from its configuration throughout XIX century in Great Britain and we called the attention on its narrow entailment with the characteristics that define the modern industrial society.
