    A finales del siglo XIX la sociedad bilbaína se abrió al mundo y a la cultura cosmopolita gracias al empuje proporcionado por la modernización económica. El Kurding Club, entre otras actividades realizadas en Bilbao, constituyó el germen de lo musicalmente más importante que la ciudad ha desarrol1ado a lo largo del siglo XX. Mientras sus padres se dedicaban a ganar dinero, unos muchachos jóvenes sentaron las bases para un nuevo concepto del arte, la música y el ocio. En este artículo, además de la incomprensión social que se granjearon, se explican con cierto detenimiento las pinturas más significativas (una de ellas, de tema musical) que decoraron aquel insólito Club.

    In the last years of the XIXth century the emergent society of Bilbao opened to the world and to the cosmopolitan culture thanks to the push given by the economic modernity. The Kurding Club, apart from other activities related with plastic art and public amusement, was the beginning of the important musical development the city has lived along the XXth century. While their fathers were dedicated to earn money, some young boys built the base for a new concept of art, the music and the free time in town. In this essay, together with the social misunderstanding they suffered (from the Socialism as well as from the Nationalism and the Catholic minds), are explained with some detail the most significative paintings that decorated than unusual funny and controversial Club.

    XIX. mendean, ekonomiaren berriztapenak emandako bultzadari esker, bilbotar gizarteak munduari eta herrialde denetako kulturari ireki zizkion bere ateak. Kurding Club zeritzona, Bilbon egindako beste jardueren artean, XX. mendean zehar musikaren ikuspegitik hiriak garatu izan duen garrantzitsuena izan zen. Gurasoek dima irabazten ziharduten bitartean, neska-mutil gazteek artearen, musikaren eta asialdiaren kontzeptu berrirako oinarriakjarri zituzten. Artikulu honetan, gizartearen aldetik haiekjasan zuten ulermenik ezaz gain, nolabaiteko zehaztasunez azaltzen dira Club harrigarri hura apaindu zuten pintura adierazgarrienak (eurotako hat, musikako gaia duena).
