En 1902 nació cerca de Viena Karl Raimund Popper, uno de los filósofos de la Ciencia más influyentes en el siglo XX. Con ocasión del centenario de Popper, y veinte años después de un trabajo del autor (Sequeiros, 1981) sobre las relaciones entre Popper y Kuhn, se proponen unas reflexiones sobre la persistencia de la epistemología popperiana y kuhniana en la didáctica de las Ciencias de la Tierra.
Karl Raimund Popper, born near of Vienna in 1902, has been considered as one of the most influential Science Philosophes in the XXth century. Twenty years after the other paper of the author (Sequeiros, 1981) around the relations between Popper and Kuhn, the Popper´s centennial, offers the opportunity of some reflections about the persistence of kuhnian and popperian epistemology in the Earth Sciences teaching.
