  • Resumen
    • Toward the end of 1936 a group of Italian specialists from the LUCE Institute arrived in Salamanca. Their mission was to set up a headquarters in charge of spreading fascist ideology in Spain and to gather images of Italian soldiers during the Spanish Civil War. The Institute was divided into two sections: one for photography and one for film. The film department was responsible for distributing propagandistic documentaries and filming relevant war activities.

The footage taken by the LUCE cameramen in Spain was later used for a series of Italian films on the Spanish Civil War.
