    : En 1009 (año 971) Don Sancho, Rey de Pamplona, dio al Monasterio y a su abad dos villas: Villa Gonzalo, ahora Badarán, con otros barrios que allí se juntaban en términos de la ciudad de Nájera, cerca del Río Cárdenas, y otra Cordovín. Así, Badarán se sitúa en el centro del Valle del Río Cárdenas, circunstancia que le confiere una gran riqueza dialectológica, ya que a ella y desde ella, van asentándose diferentes sustratos. Es, por ello, que en este artículo se pretende mostrar el resultado de la investigación de que se llevo acabo de dicha localidad, atendiendo a los elementos fónicos, morfosintácticos y léxicosemánticos.
