En el presente artículo el autor, que ya ha realizado diversas investigaciones sobre esta misma temática en otros ámbitos territoriales, pretende, de acuerdo con la diversidad de tendencias que muestra la Geografía en los últimos tiempos, incidir en el estudio del desarrollo de la iconografía de San Sebastian sobre el territorio más conocido. Sevilla y su provincia, enmarcandolo lógicamente en el contexto nacional, ya que muchos de los grandes maestros que aquí trabajaron y en sus iglesias y museos nos han dejado parte de sus mejores obras, provenian de los más variados rincones de nuestra geografía e incluso de más allá de nuestras fronteras.

In the present article the author, who already has made diverse investigations on this same subject with different territorial scopes, tries, in agreement with the diversity of tendencies that Geography shows lately, to affect the study of the development of the iconography of San Sebastian in Seville and its province, framing it in the national context, since many of the great teachers who worked in his churches and museums have left us part of their better works, came from various corners of our geography and even of beyond of our borders.
