Este texto analiza de forma sintética la mixticidad de temas que acompañó a la difusión de la obra de Howard en España (a través, fundamentalmente, de la revista Civitas, boletín de la "Sociedad Cívica La ciudad jardín" -SCCJ) y apunta la importancia de la influencia francesa -en particular del Musée Social- sobre el conjunto del movimiento español de "construcción cívica" liderado por aquella sociedad y por Montoliu, su secretario hasta 1919.

This text analyses in a synthetic way the mixticity of matters which escorted the spreading of Howard's work in Spain (mainly throughout the magacine 'Civitas', voice of the 'Civic Society The City-Garden' -SCCJ) and points out, as well, the importance of the French influence, particularly that one of the Musée Social over the whole Spanish Movement of town planning leaded by SCCJ and its secretary until 1919, C. Montoliu.
