    Unió al servei de les persones [JOSEFA. DURAN I LLEIDA] Durant els primers mesos de la celebració dels 75 anys de la creació d'Unió Democràtica, un deis moments politicament més importants fou la conferência que el seu màxim dirigent feu davant més d'un miler de simpatitzants i representants de la societat catalana, al Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. D'aquella completa intervenció es publica un extracte en el qual, d'una banda, es repassa el context que va portar a la fundació del partit, i els principis ideològics que aquest es va proposar defensar des d'un bon començament. D'altra banda, també es recull aquella part del text en què l'autor exposà el model social i econòmic que es proposa per Catalunya, tot lligantho amb dos dels reptes de futur més importants als quals s'enfronta el país: l'educació i la immigració. A mode de cloenda, l'autor expressa una ferma convicció en el projecte politic que encapçala, tot considerant que continuarà tenint raó de ser "mentre hi hagi una sola persona que pateixi una injusticia, o que se li negui la seva dignitat personal o col¿lectiva".

    Unió, serving people [ JOSEP A. DURAN I LLEIDA ] During the first months of the celebration of the 75 years of the creation of Unió Democràtica, one of the most politically important moments was the conference held by their leader in front of almost a thousand supporters and representatives of Catalan society in the National Theatre of Catalonia. An extract of this speech is published, which on the one had recaps on the context that led to the founding of the party and the ideological principles it set out to defend from the outset. It also includes the part of the text in which the author expounds the social and economic model proposed for Catalonia, linking up with two of the most important challenges the country faces in the future: education and immigration. To close the article, the author expresses his firm commitment to the political project he leads, considering that it will continue to be valid "as long as there are victims of injustice, or as long as people or groups are denied their dignity".
