The economic and socials trends in post-modernity [JUAN-CRUZ ALLI ARANGUREN] The economically most advanced societies are in the throes of a breakneck-speed process of acceleration. The speed of change, the new tendencies and the real challenges of the future have led the lecturer of the Public University of Navarra, Juan-Cruz Alli, to present the economic and social tendencies of post-modernity to the reader, the way he sees them. With rigour and seriousness, he tackles the changes derived from economic globalisation and technological the progress, as well as the new presence of liberal ideology, the configuration of supranational arenas or the sovereignty of states. To answer this issue, the article presents the impact of neo-liberalism in these new scenarios, describing, amongst other things, the characteristics that define the new postindustrial society, such as the replacement of employment, the increased tertiary sector, technocracy, competitiveness or the disintegration of social bonds. In this same line, the spectacular changes spawned by the technological revolution have turned the information society and knowledge management into two of the key axes of globalisation in our societies.

Les tendències econòmiques i socials de la postmodernitat [JUAN-CRUZ ALLI ARANGUREN] Les societats econòmicament més avançades es troben en un procés d'acceleració meteórica. La rapidesa del canvi, les noves tendències i els veritables reptes de futur fan que el professor de la Universitat pública de Navarra, Juan-Cruz Alli, presenti al lector quines són, segon ell, les tendències econòmiques i socials de la postmodernitat. El seu plantejament passa per abordar amb seriositat i rigor els canis derivats de la globalització económica i del progrés de les tecnologies, així com la nova presencia de la ideologia liberal, la configuració dels àmbits supranacionais o la crisis de la sobirania deis estats. Per tal de donar resposta a aquests plantejaments, l'article presenta l'impacte del neoliberalisme en aquests nous escenaris i descriu, entre altres, les característiques que defineixen la nova societat postindustrial, com ara la substitució del treball, l'augment del sector terciari, la tecnocràcia, la competitivitat o la desintegració deis vindes socials. En aquesta mateixa línia, l'espectacular canvi que ha provocat la revolució tecnològica fa que la societat de la informació i la gestió del coneixement siguin dos dels eixos claus de la globalització a les nostres societats.
