    Estamos en la "época de la inmigración". Este artículo hace un repaso histórico y bibliográfico detallado de los estudios politológicos que se han producido en torno a la inmigración. Este recorrido sigue dos líneas básicas del debate actual: el enfoque institucional y el normativo, y dos marcos teóricos: el liberal y el democrático. Al final, el autor se pronuncia destacando la necesidad de abrir una línea de reflexión en torno a una teoría de la justicia que incluya a la inmigración. Al respecto, propone discutir en profundidad los dos criterios que suelen orientar el tratamiento político de la inmigración: el criterio de la nacionalidad y el del mercado.

    We are in the age "of immigration". This article makes an historical and bibliographical detailed review of the political studies that have been produced on immigration. This overview follows two basic lines of the current debate: the institutional and the normative approaches, and two theoretical frameworks: the liberal and the democratic focuses. At the end, the author defends the need for opening a line of research dealing with a theory of justice which includes immigration. In this respect, he proposes to discuss in-depth the two criteria that actually orientate the political treatment of immigration: the nationality and market criteria.
