In the summer of 1999, carrying out archaelogieal excavations, in a site next to the "Via Augusta" in the south of the Ancient Valentia a funerary inscription and some other fragments were found. Those samples show the existence of a necropolis during the imperial Roman period. An interesting contribution to the Hispanian epigraphy is to have found some vestiges of red colour on a character of one of those inscriptions.
