Aggressive behaviour ranging from minor abuse to criminal acts cry out for deciphering by the human sciences. In this article I argue that its interpretation in psychiatric terms is as far removed from ethological and neuropsychiatric approaches as it is from common sense and practical morality. In fact, the psychiatric approach has far more in common with the disciplinary sciences forged within courts of law and penitentiary institutions.
I characterize the psi theory on the management of evil as a rhetorical and soothsaying discourse, seeking order in events which instrinsically lack it, with little descriptive or predictive power. As a consequence, I go on to advocate a complete withdrawal of psychiatry from the field of forensic evaluation or treatment of El crimen o el pequeño maltrato agresivo son conductas que interpelan a su desciframiento a los distintos saberes humanos. En este texto se sitúa la respuesta siquiátrica como una interpretación alejada tanto de la ciencia-etología, neuropsicología- como del saber común y la moral practica pero cercana a las ciencias disciplinarias forjadas en juzgados y cárceles. Califico la teoría psi sobre la gestión del mal como un discurso retórico y augurico (poner orden en un suceso que no lo tiene) con escasa capacidad descriptiva o pronostica .Por ello abogo por una retirada de lo psiquiátrico de ese campo pericial o terapéutico de las conductas agresivas porque de lo que no se sabe más vale callar.
