Resumen de Retórica y/o filosofía: ¿paidia y paideia? las dos culturas

Analizamos en este estudio la querella: ya antigua, entre filosofía y poesía. Se presentan, primero, las posiciones de Isócrates, que es poética o retórica. y la de Platón, continuador de la de Sócrates, que es filosófica. Ambos. Isócrates y Platón, son paradigmas para acercamos a la verdad de la seducción y a la seducción de la verdad. Ofrecemos, luego. en pinceladas, la evolución histórica de ambas actitudes, terminando con una reflexión sobre la posibilidad de una tercera vía, ya verdadera. en la que educar por la cultura (Isócrates) o educar por la ciencia (Sócrates) puedan unirse por no ser esencialmente opuestas.

In this study we make an analisys of the old dispute between philosophy andpoetry. The posture of Isocrates. which is rhetoric and poetry, and the posture of Plato, continuer of Socrates, which is philosophical, are shown first. Both, Isocrates and Plato, are a paradigm to approach ourselves to the truth of the seduction and to the seduction of the truth. We offer later, in a reduce form, the historical evolution of both postures, finishing with a comment about the posibility of a third way, a true one. in which the education by the culture (Isocrates) and the education by the science (Socrates) can be united because they are not essentially opposed.
