    En este artículo se define en profundidad el modelo utópico que los Congresos Nacionales de Riegos configuraron del regadío en la tradición del regeneracionismo hidráulico del costismo. Descartándose las objeciones y problemas que se atribuían a los regadíos, se detallan sus muchas ventajas y se concluye que el regadío es "talismán de riqueza y felicidad" y "salvación de la patria".

    n this paper we define in depth the utopian model that the Irrigation National Congresses set up for irrigation within the tradition of the hydraulic regenerationism of the costism. Setting aside the objecttions and problems commonly attributed to irrigation, its many advantages are enumerated and its role as "the talisman of richness and hapiness" and "the salvation of the country" is concluded.
