Al finalizar la Guerra Civil, el Partido Comunista de España tuvo que hacer frente a una nueva organización en el exilio, pero asimismo permanecieron antiguos militantes y simpatizantes dentro de la península. Éstos últimos fueron quienes protagonizaron los primeros intentos de resistencia y oposición en el interior del país contra el nuevo régimen. Las dificultades no fueron empero pocas, procedentes tanto de la presión policial como de la descoordinación y rivalidades internas.

The Spanish Communist Party had to face up to a new reorganization in exile with the end of the Spanish Civil War. Some members and sympathizers remained in Spain and they were the first who took the main role of resistance and opposition against the new dictatorial regime. The difficulties, which these opposition groups encountered when carrying out their actions, were greats due to the effective police repression and also due to the disorganisation and internal rivalries within the Spanish Communist Party.
