Abstract
Vestibular schwannomas are benign tumors, with their origin in the VIII cranial nerve, their importance coming from the fact that they are the most frequent tumors located in the cerebellopontine angle. There are three different treatment options for these tumors: observation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and microsurgical resection.
Surveillance after vestibular schwannoma resection is performed with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), since clinical symptoms of tumoral persistence or recurrence are not evident until the regrowth is significant.
Hereby we study the follow-up of these patients, studying and classifying their postoperative MRI results and their different contrast enhancement patterns.
Finally, we analyze the enhacement patterns of their postoperative MRI and their relationship with clinical, surgical, and radiological features.
