The aim of this research is to make an study about the life of Antonio Enríquez Gómez (1600-1663), a writer born in Cuenca. A state of the question have been made, together with a review and an ordering of data. I also provide new documentary sources from different archives. All of this is intended to solve several problematic issues around the identity of Antonio Enríquez Gómez.

In order to clarify his literary production, I have done an extensive documentation of all his poetry, narrative or dramatic works. The forms, manuscripts, historic and modern editions which are known have been collected, providing biographical references and the locating of a copy in each case.

The study and edition of the Lusitanian Triumph (1641), the main objective of this research, begins with the analysis of the historical circumstances of the independence from Portugal in 1640. I have also studied the consequent publicistic, both as profelipista and restorationist produced because of this event. In these circumstances Antonio Enríquez Gómez wrote the Lusitanian Triumph, a list of events in silvas that traces the journey made to France by the Portuguese ambassadors appointed by the newly acclaimed Portuguese King John IV.

Elocutionary analysis of the poem reveals the imitation of culteranism, a characteristic representative of the work of this author, but not always executed correctly. To this end, a review of the elements more representatives from Gongorism and also from his particular style as a poet has been made.

Finally, appendices are published as a collection of poems of Antonio Enriquez Gomez. They are very interesting because they illustrate how the writer worked with the Lusitanian cause during his exile in France.
