The autor of this dissertation studies the treatment of the literary device which consists on the authorial fiction and the fake history concerning to the books of chivalry, Cervantes' Don Quixote and the narrative literature based on the original novel (specially its sequels, extensions and imitations) in the Hispanic literature from 1610 to 1990.

En esta tesis doctoral se estudia el recurso al autor ficticio y a la pseudohistoricidad partiendo de su tratamiento en la literatura caballeresca y abordando su presencia en el Quijote de Miguel de Cervantes y en sus recreaciones (especialmente continuaciones, ampliaciones e imitaciones) en la literatura hispánica desde 1610 hasta 1990.
