On studying the expulsion, return and permanence of the ancient Moriscos of Murcia, it can be thought to be enough to focus on the events that took place between the end of 1613 and the beginning of 1614. The so-called "last expulsion". Any historical event is not understood if we look at it as a loose verse. We must look at the whole of the poem or all the elements of the tragedy. Here it is a question of elaborating a state on the question of the Moorish Mudejars of ancient Murcia, given their particular interest for being a collective with unique characteristics that differentiate them from the old Mudejars of the rest of Castile, and the Valencian and Grenadian moriscos. They had an identity of their own, which consisted in not differing only from the so-called old Christians.

Another question will be about how many were effectively expelled, how it affected the different communities of Moorish tradition and who in particular, through the study and analysis of the sale files of the goods that were seized from those who disobeyed the factions or who they remained in the hands of the Crown for not having been sold before their departure, as well as the mechanisms practiced to avoid expulsion, remaining in their places of origin or changing their address, and in what way they tried or managed to return.

We intend to carry out an analysis and careful study of the sources, in order to reconstruct the intricate "Moorish question", taking into account the personal characteristics of its protagonists in the territory of Murcia; Crossing national and official sources with local sources (protocols, council minutes, books of sacraments ...).
