Guidelines for submission: notes for authors

First contact for authors. If you want to discuss submitting a paper but can't find what you need to know here, contact Cliff McKnight, Editor-in-Chief.

Journal of Digital Information is a peer-reviewed electronic journal
· about the management, presentation and uses of information in digital environments
· covering research, technical, design and practical issues
· aimed at researchers, developers and teachers, mainly but not only in technical disciplines, also technical librarians and publishers.
This broad, interdisciplinary approach is suited to an e-journal structure, where topics can be inter-linked and points of convergence identified. Individual contributions on topics relating to this coverage are welcomed. Also, check our latest calls for papers for special issues. There might be a theme there that would highlight your paper.
Suggested topic areas
Editorial development within JoDI is organised into themes. Each theme has an editor. For the convenience of users, papers are published in issues but are also linked into themes to assist retrieval. Published papers can be categorised for inclusion in more than one theme.
The journal invites submissions for the following themes:
· digital libraries
· hypermedia systems
· hypertext criticism
· information discovery
· information management
· social issues of digital information use in real and virtual spaces
· usability of digital information
