    La Península Ibérica, por su situación geográfica, la longitud de sus costas, su orografía y otras realidades físicas, tiene un problema importante con su clima que hace que un 40% de su superficie tenga un régimen pluviométrico aceptable, pero el 60% restante tiene un régimen pluviométrico muy deficitario, hasta poder decir que su extremo sureste ha llegado a convertirse en un verdadero desierto.

    La falta de agua de la España seca nos lleva a pensar en una solución para devolverle a esa zona el agua que necesita para poder desarrollarse y prosperar, como debería hacerlo si tuviera el agua que le falta.

    Es muy posible que si se interconectaran todas las cuentas hidrográficas, no sería necesario desembalsar agua y tirarla al mar cuando se llenen los embalses que se construyeron en la zona húmeda de España y, de esa manera, podríamos reequilibrarla hidrológicamente.
