    Over the last twenty years, research in ethnography and, broadly speaking, social sciences on the French Basque Country has been increasing. The article analyzes this renewal in four steps. Section 1 adresses the renewal of the classical ethnography. Section 2 deals with the increase of a new political anthropology in Iparralde. Section 3 turns to the research on socio-economic changes experimented by this territory. In its final section, the article draws new perspective for future research on the French Basque society.

    Azken hogoi urte hauetan Ipar Euskal Herriari buruzko ikerketa frango garatu da, izan dadien etnografiaren haritik edo orokorkiago gizarte zientzietarik. Artikulu huntan behatzen dugu lehenik ze neurritan arraberritu diren Iparraldeko etnografiaren gai klasikoak. Bigarrenik, antropologia politikoaren gorakada dugu aipatuko. Hirugarrenik, aldaketa sozio-ekonomikoetaz ari den ikerketa lerro berri bat garatzen ari da. Bururatzeko, ondoko urteetan barnatu behar litaizken gai eta ikuspegi zonbeit aurkeztuak dira.
