The aim of this paper is to study some translating problems related to the proximity to Spanish and Italian languages. We will be analyzing selected texts from Italian authors Antonio Tabucchi, Alessandro Baricco and Andrea Camilleri in their translation into Spanish identifying interferences in lexicon, syntaxis, rhythm and intertextuality. For Camilleri’s texts, we’ll be working with the filmic text and its translation into Spanish subtitling version.

El presente artículo estudia el proceso de transposición desde el género narrativo breve al género dramático en Pirandello. Para ello se analizan las obras Il giuoco delle parti y Quando s'è capito il giuoco. La primera parte del trabajo se dedica a ver las diferencias psicológicas en los personajes de ambas obras así como el cambio en sus nombres y su función. In the second part of the paper we study the translation problems of Camilleri's language in the Spanish subtitles.

El trabajo consta de dos partes; en la primera se propone una serie de claves para el análisis de La forma dell'acqua de Andrea Camilleri, muy en particular, se estudia el significado de los nombres de los personajes y la huella de Pirandello a partir del título. En la segunda parte se estudia cómo se han resuelto en la traducción de los subtítulos al español los elementos analizados y la lengua de Camilleri. La primera línea del texto es un seguro de veracidad para el relato de viajes.

En el presente trabajo nos proponemos hacer un análisis de los distintos sentido metafóricos ligados al término lluvia, desde los más clásicos, como las lágrimas, la tristeza, la renovación o la purificación, hasta otros nuevos surgidos en la literatura y el cine de los últimos 25 años y ligados, fundamentalmente al concepto de tiempo, entendido tanto como tiempo vital como tiempo estructural.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to explore the different metaphorical meanings of the word rain, from the most usual, as tears, sadness, renovation or purification, to others raised in the last 25 years and related basically to the concept of time: both physical and structural time.

This contribution analyzes Alessandro Bariccos work, focusing on the idea of wind as a cen- tral motif. An extremely recurrent theme in Bariccos oeuvre in his fiction, in his drama, and even in his essays , the wind receives a wide variety of intricate meanings and literary values.

Se empieza analizando una instalación de pintura del autor holandés Jo Heijnen para ver cómo los distintos lenguajes artísticos pueden unirse para crear piezas nuevas. A continuación se estudian las obras de Alessandro Baricco y las mezclas de géneros literarios y estilos que podemos encontrar en ellas hasta llegar a Mr Gwyn, donde el autor une la pintura con la narración.
We start by analysing a painting installation by Jo Heijnen ad we study the different artistic languages that can cope together creating new pieces. Then, we study Baricco’s works and the mixture of literary genres we can easily spot in his texts. We end by studying Mr Gwyn, where the author plays mixing words and painting.

The project envisages the organisation of a series of seminars, both in person and online, on multiple issues affecting contemporary Italian literature observed from an international and interdisciplinary perspective. The New Millennium is going through a number of challenging transformations that profoundly affect many established ways of dealing with literature: the uneven relationship with the national and European cultural tradition; the transmediality of the literary text in the age of new media; the negotiation between established literary canons and new narrative instances (related to issues of gender, multilingualism, local and ethnical identities, new social phenomena); the publishing market in the late-capitalist era; cultural policies on the dissemination and translation of literary works. Our first event will deal with the reception of contemporary Italian literature in Europe, paying particular attention to the canon of authors proposed in the academic context.

The ILIO partners will meet in Madrid for a 3-day seminar to further and widen the debate on the international circulation and reception of contemporary Italian literature, meeting a variety of academic and other professional stakeholders.
