Resumen: En este artículo se examina el concepto de aljamía y de texto aljamiado desde el punto de vista de la sociolingüistica y en el contexto de la historia de la lengua española y de los demás romances medievales peninsulares. Asimismo se examina la variante del castellano hablada por los judíos medievales y se reflexiona sobre su clasificación tipológica más adecuada. Abstract: This paper deals with the concept of aljamía and aljamiado text from a sociolinguistic perspective in the context of the History of the Spanish and other Romance variants in the Iberian Peninsula in the Middle Age. This paper examines the Spanish spoken by the Jewish population as well. Some proposals of tipological classification for this variant are offered.

This article consists of a detailed lexicological and lexicographical study of the
different terms given to the Jewish pot for Sabbath in Spanish, such as adafina,
ḥamin, caliente(s), and other lesser known variants. This dish was a fundamental
differentiating and discerning socio-religious element in the Jewish and Converso
population of the Middle Ages

This PhD Dissertation consists on a translation with notes of the twenty-nine poems corpus of the selihot la’asmurot by Yehudah ha-Levi, according to the edition of H. Brody & A. M. Habermann (1971) and the extensive quoting apparatus of the Jarden edition (1978-1985). It is preceded by a broad introduction that deals with the biography of the author himself and his language in the context of medieval Hebrew, as well as the poetic genre of the selihot, its historical evolution, its (para)liturgical uses and its theological contents. Moreover, the study focuses on the concept of asmurah, nocturnal prayer in Judaims, and the (para)lithurgical use of this genre in Al-Ándalus, Christian Spain, and the Sephardic communities of the 16th and 17th century Italy. In addition to the analysis of the intertextual phenomena in Hispanic-Hebrew poetry, the main contribution of this thesis comes from the philological, stylistic and literary interpretation of the selected poems, presented in three thematic unities: (i) existentialism and praise to God, the Creator, (ii) attempt of intimacy with God, and (iii) community and nationalism.
החיבור לשם קבלת תואר דוקטור כולל תרגום והערות על קורפוס של עשרים ותשע 
פואמות של הסליחות לאשמורות מאת יהודה הלוי, לפי ההוצאה של ה. ברודי
  (1971) וכן האפרט המפורט של הוצאת ירדן
(1978-1985).
בראש החיבור יש הקדמה שעוסקת בתולדות חייו של המחבר עצמו ובלשונו, בהקשר 
עם הלשון העברית של ימי הביניים; כמו גם הסוגה השירית של הסליחות, 
התפתחותה ההיסטורית, שימושיה הפארא-ליטורגיים והתכנים התיאולוגים שלה.
יתר על כן, העיון מתמקד במושג האשמורה - תפילה לילית ביהדות, והשימוש 
הליטורגי של סוגה ז באל-אנדלוס; ספרד הנוצרית; והקהילות 
היהודיות-הספרדיות במאות ט"זוי"ז באיטליה.
בנוסף לניתוח התופעה האינטרטקסטואלית בספרות הספרדית-יהודית, התרומה 
העיקרית של חיבור זה נובעת מפרשנות פילולוגית, סגנונית ולשונית של 
הפואמות הנבחרות,  שמוצגות בשלוש קבוצות נושאיות: א. אקזיסטנטיאליזם ושבח 
לאל הבורא ב. ניסיון להתקרב אל האל; ג. קהיליה ולאומיות.
