The research team consisted of 16 international experts. “Catalogación y estudio de las traducciones de los franciscanos españoles”, I+D Project, financed by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science, REF. FF12008-00719. The project started in 2009 and continues to the end of 2011. The research team consists of 15 international researchers. The aim is the study of the translation activity of the Spanish Franciscan order. Research lines The first research line continues the research carried out for my PhD thesis and is related to modern Spanish literature, mainly of the nineteenth but also of the twentieth century. My principal subject is the relation between history and literature (the consequences of the literary ‘mould’ for transmission of historical ‘facts’ and ‘truths’). Related subjects are literature and the arts and imagology. The second research line relates to the historical study of translation: translation in the Netherlands in the sixteenth and seventeenth century of literary (La Celestina) and spiritual texts (Ruusbroec, Juan de la Cruz).
