  The article addresses elements of the restructuring of the Catholic Church in Rio Grande do Suland Santa Catarina, within the scenario of restoration of decadent principles and values in the oldworld, in the face of the emergence of new currents of thought. It points out that on the agriculturalfronts of the southern states, in response to dechristianization in Germany, there were experiencesof reinvigoration of naturalism and romanticism in the late 19th century and first half of the 20th.It expresses how educational, cultural, economic means and the use of image and languagereproduced, far from the spaces of the new times, the divine right through theocentrism andpatronage. The axis of analysis of the bibliographical production presents three basic reflections:the European emigration as a response to the flags of modernism and liberalism; the formation ofthe Porto Novo/SC Project and the creation of the new Christian prototype; and the restoration ofthe patriarchal authority through mechanisms of framing and standardization of the role of womenand the family within the naturalist paradigm of colonization.

  O artigo aborda elementos da reestruturação da Igreja Católica no Rio Grande do Sul e SantaCatarina, dentro do cenário de restauração de princípios e valores em decadência no Velho Mundo,face à emergência de novas correntes de pensamento. Aponta que nas frentes agrícolas dos estadosdo sul, em resposta à descristianização na Alemanha, houve experiências de revigoração donaturalismo e do romantismo, no final do século XIX e primeira metade do XX. Expressa como osmeios educacionais, culturais, econômicos e o uso da imagem e linguagem reproduziram, longedos espaços dos novos tempos, o direito divino pelo teocentrismo e o padroado. O eixo de análiseda produção bibliográfica apresenta três reflexões básicas: e emigração europeia como resposta àsbandeiras do modernismo e do liberalismo; a formação do Projeto Porto Novo/SC e a criação doprotótipo de cristão novo; e a restauração da autoridade patriarcal por meio de mecanismos deenquadramento e normatização do papel da mulher e da família dentro do paradigma naturalista dacolonização.
