    El reconocimiento de la Jurisdicción Especial Indígena por parte de la Corte Constitucional ha sido determinante en la consolidación de la diversidad cultural y étnica del contexto colombiano. En por esto, que el artículo pretende analizar las transformaciones y avances que ha tenido la Jurisdicción Especial Indígena respecto a algunos pronunciamientos de la Corte Constitucional colombiana.

    La metodología utilizada principalmente fue la hermenéutica, ya que se interpretó la jurisprudencia constitucional y los tratados internacionales que abordan la temática del reconocimiento cultural y la autonomía indígena en cuanto a la facultad que tienen los pueblos indígenas de resolver sus conflictos aplicando sus formas de justicia y prácticas ancestrales. Dicha aproximación se realizó desde el enfoque teórico del multiculturalismo.  Esta aproximación metodológica permitió examinar el impacto y avance que ha tenido la Jurisdicción Especial Indígena. Se resalta la contribución a la preservación y promoción de la diversidad e identidad cultural, y el pluralismo jurídico, asimismo en la salvaguarda de los derechos y la autonomía de las comunidades indígenas en Colombia, que incluso logran vincular acontecimientos recientes como lo es la movilización indígena.

    The recognition of the Special Indigenous Jurisdiction by the Constitutional Court has been decisive in the consolidation of the cultural and ethnic diversity of the Colombian context. For this reason, the article aims to analyze the transformations and advances that the Special Indigenous Jurisdiction has had with respect to some pronouncements of the Colombian Constitutional Court.

    The methodology used was mainly hermeneutics, which involved interpreting the constitutional case law and international treaties that address the issue of cultural recognition and indigenous autonomy regarding the power of indigenous peoples to resolve their conflicts using their own forms of justice and ancestral practices. This approach was carried out from the theoretical perspective of multiculturalism.

    This methodological approach allowed us to examine the impact and progress of the JEI, highlighting its contribution to the preservation and promotion of cultural diversity and identity, and legal pluralism. It also highlights its contribution to the safeguarding of the rights and autonomy of indigenous communities in Colombia, even to the point of linking it to recent events such as the indigenous mobilization.
