    The present study aims to evaluate the extent to which the New Law on Bids and Public Contracts includes legal provisions that promote sustainable national development and the degree of evolution in relation to the previous legal regime; as well as verifying which of the five dimensions of sustainability, according to Juarez Freitas, were included in the new legal regime: social, ethical, legal-political, economic and environmental. To this end, a bibliographical review was made on the legislationand doctrines related to the topic, to support the theoretical, descriptive and exploratory research used for critical content analysis. In the end, it is concluded that Law nº 14,133/2021 represents a major advance in the legal order regarding sustainable national development by explaining it as an objective to be concretely pursued by the State's public contracts, despite being a theme in constant evolution.

    O presente estudo objetiva avaliar em que medidas a Nova Lei de Licitações e Contratos Administrativos contempla dispositivos legais promotores do desenvolvimento nacional sustentável e o grau de evolução em relação ao regime jurídico anterior; bem como verificar quais das cinco dimensões da sustentabilidade, segundo Juarez Freitas, foram incluídas no novo regime jurídico: social, ética, jurídico-política, econômica e ambiental. Para tanto, foi realizada revisão bibliográfica sobre as legislações e doutrinas afetas ao tema, para subsidiar a pesquisa teórica, descritiva e exploratória utilizadas para a análise crítica de conteúdo. Ao final, conclui-se que a Lei nº 14.133/2021 representa um grande avanço da ordem jurídica quanto ao desenvolvimento nacional sustentável ao explicitá-lo como objetivo a ser concretamente perseguido pelas contratações públicas do Estado, apesar de ser uma temática em constanteevolução.
