Resumen de Lego Serious Play® en la formación de Enfermería

  La metodología Lego Serious Play® es una metodología activa que utiliza el juego y laconstrucción con bloques LEGO para fomentar la participación, la creatividad y elaprendizaje significativo. Es un modo de actividad basado en la imaginación que integradimensiones cognitiva, social y emocional con los beneficios del juego para influir en losdesafíos organizacionales y de aprendizaje.El objetivo de este proyecto ha sido conocer cómo la metodología Lego Serious Play®permite mejorar el pensamiento crítico y creativo de los y las estudiantes de enfermería, sunivel de absorción y activación mientras trabajan en grupo y, finalmente, adquirir losconocimientos y un mayor dominio dentro del área de Salud Mental aplicado al grado enEnfermería.Se ha planteado un estudio con diseño pre-post, donde los estudiantes en grupos de 8-10integrantes trabajaron con Lego Serious Play®. Las profesoras entregaron las piezas y elgrupo formó una construcción Lego que representaba uno de los problemas de salud mentaldel temario de la asignatura. Posteriormente, el grupo desarrolló un Metaplan que incluyó enPost-it® de colores los síntomas, problemas, tratamiento y cuidados de enfermeríapropuestos para el problema/patología de salud mental elegido. En la sesión final losestudiantes presentaron su figura Lego, colocaron su Metaplan y se escuchó su podcastsobre cuidados de salud mental en enfermería.Este estudio ha permitido conocer el impacto de la gamificación en una asignatura del gradoen enfermería obteniendo altas tasas de participación y satisfacción en una actividad grupal.Además, ha permitido fomentar el pensamiento crítico y la creatividad observándose unamejora en los resultados de aprendizaje de los estudiantes participantes, tanto en laactividad como en los resultados finales de la asignatura.

  The Lego Serious Play® methodology is an active methodology that uses play andconstruction with LEGO blocks to foster participation, creativity, and meaningful learning. It isan imagination-based mode of activity that integrates cognitive, social and emotionaldimensions with the benefits of play to influence organizational and learning challenges. The objective of this project was to find out how the Lego Serious Play® methodologyimproves the critical and creative thinking of nursing students, as well as their level ofabsorption and activation while working in groups. It was also assessed whether themethodology allows the improvement of and, finally, the knowledge and greater mastery in thearea of Mental Health applied to the degree in Nursing.A study with a pre-post design has been proposed, where students in groups of (8-10members) will work with Lego Serious Play®. The teachers delivered the pieces and the groupformed a Lego construction that represented one of the mental health problems of the subject.Subsequently, the group will develop a Metaplan that will include in Post-it® colors thesymptoms, problems, treatment, and nursing care proposed for the chosen mental healthproblem/pathology. In the final session the students presented their Lego figure, placed theirMetaplan and listened to their podcast on mental health care in nursing.This study has allowed to know the impact of gamification in a subject of the degree in nursingobtaining high rates of participation and satisfaction in a group activity. In addition, it hasallowed the promotion of critical thinking and creativity, with an improvement in the learningoutcomes of the participating students., both in the activity and in the final results of thesubject.
