• The aim of the present study is to value the somatotype of handball female playersof half level, considering the age and the on liar in the game land. It was carried out the study to a total of 165 players (16 years, 163,7 cm and 61,62 kg), divided in 85 cadets, 42 juvenile and 38 senior, belonging to seven teams different from the Principality of Asturias. Differences exist statistically significant between the end position and rest of positions in the court, what agrees with studies carried out in professional males, being present in all the levels. The juvenile golkeepers is left that waited to probably be a group of more sport quality, and with more and more specific training that their partners. The analysis of the somatotype could help us that is if a certain player can or not to play in superior category, helping to minimize the lesions for disproportion among players.
