Resumen de Matrimonio: parentesco y endogamia grupal en dos comunidades centro-cantábricas (Vaqueiros d´Alzada y Pasiegos)

In this essay, some of the differential features of the marital structures of a pair of marginated trashumance groups in the "Cordillera Cantábrica" (the "Vaqueiros d' Alzada" of Asturias and the "Pasiegos" of Cantabria) have been studied: basically, the seasonality, the in-breeding and the endogamy. The marriage certificates of the catholic marriages register of three "brañas vaqueiras" (Santa María del Puerto, Silvamayor and Lago, in the regions of Luarca and Somiedo) and three "pasiegas" parish (Vega de Pas, San Pedro del Romeral and San Roque del Río Miera, in Montes del Pas), between 1880 and 1979, were also revised.
