Resumen de Miguel de Unamuno y André Gide ante el espejo

En este artículo, se pretende trazar paralelos entre los proyectos narrativos de Unamuno y de Gide, a partir de un estudio de "Cómo se hace una novela" y "Don Sandalio, jugador de ajedrez", del primero y de "Les faux-monnayeurs" y "Le journal des faux-monnayeurs", del segundo. Después de ver las relaciones que se tejen entre las obras de un mismo autor, se profundizará en algunos motivos psicológicos característicos de la escritura diarista y de la "mise en abyme", género y recurso presentes, de manera no casual, en estas obras de nuestros dos autores.

This essay sets out to study the narrative projects of Miguel de Unamuno and André Gide from a comparative angle. Starting from Unamuno's Cómo se bace una novela and La novela de Don Sandalio, jugador de Ajedrez, on the one hand, and Gide's Faux-Monnayeurs and Journal des faux-monnayeurs, on the other, I examine the relationships that prevail within these authors' respective ceuvres and analyze a number of psychological traits associated with their uses of diary writing and the mise en abyme.
