We propse here the presentation, and the publication, of an unpublished handwritten document entitled “The Certain Answers to the Merit of Fifths in the Hussainian Legacy,” which was written after the death of General Hussein. The document apparently consists of a jurisprudential wager, but this is intertwined with numerous social bets, the most important of which is the quest to build networks of influence and power in the face of new figures of influence around French colonialism

Nous proposons ici la présentation, ainsi que la publication d’un document manuscrit inédit intitulé “Les réponses certaines au mérite des cinquièmes dans l’héritage hussainien,” qui a été rédigé après la mort du général Hussein. Le document consiste apparemment à un pari jurisprudentiel, mais celui-ci est entremêlé à de nombreux paris sociaux, dont le plus important est la recherche de la construction de réseaux d’influence et de pouvoir face aux nouvelles figures d’influence autour du colonialisme français.
