Resumen de El Centro Cultural España Córdoba en los procesos de formación de un mundo de arte digital

Este trabajo indaga sobre la historia del arte digital en la periferia de Buenos Aires —centro hegemónico del arte en Argentina— a partir del análisis de la instauración en la ciudad de Córdoba de un centro cultural binacional argentino-español en el que se llevaron a cabo exposiciones y jornadas científicas en torno a las artes tecnológicas. Estos eventos realizados en el interior del país contribuyeron a la formación de un mundo de arte unido a las tecnologías digitales que tuvo lugar en vínculo con otro desarrollado en la capital del país. Este trabajo procura hacer visibles los intercambios e instancias de cooperación reiteradas que se desarrollaron en diferentes “momentos editoriales” construidos entre agentes de uno y otro espacio geopolítico así como las contribuciones que se gestaron desde Córdoba en el marco institucional de este centro cultural europeo afincado en Argentina durante el último cambio de siglo.

This work investigates the history of digital art on the periphery of Buenos Aires—the hegemonic center of art in Argentina—through the analysis of the establishment in the city of Córdoba of an Argentine-Spanish binational cultural center that hosted exhibitions and scientific conferences around the technological arts. These events, held in the interior of the country, contributed to the formation of an art world linked to digital technologies, which developed in conjunction with another such world set in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. This work seeks to make visible the exchanges and repeated instances of cooperation that took place at different “editorial moments” involving agents from both geopolitical spaces, as well as the contributions that were made from Córdoba within the institutional framework of this European cultural center established in Argentina during the last turn of the century.
