  • Resumen
    • To understand the actuality of social conflicts in Latin America and the Caribbean, it is necessary to go through the urban dimension of spaces in tension. This chapter proposes an exploratory synthesis of the origins and validity of the insurgencies in the region considering the escalating relationship of the responses, their purposes in the territory and their political projection beyond the situations that saw them emerge. It is impossible, on the other hand, to enter this horizon without noticing the rural texture that marks the insurgent genesis in some of the most relevant cases, which the chapter recognizes. Finally, a roadmap is given to continue with the observation of these processes that have transformed the conventional definition of territory, overcoming the dialectic left and right and even abandoning the original class relationship.
