Resumen de ¿Por qué se rechazan las matemáticas?: Análisis evolutivo y multivariante de actitudes relevantes hacia las matemáticas

  En este trabajo profundizamos, desde una perspectiva evolutiva, en algunos de los interrogantes planteados en el denominado dominio afectivo matemático tomando como eje principal el rechazo a las Matemáticas. Nuestros datos, con el referente de los resultados de un modelo de regresión logística, apoyarían la existencia de un círculo vicioso dificultad-aburrimiento-suspenso-fatalismo-bajo autoconcepto-desmotivación-rechazo-dificultad y, por tanto, las tesis de quienes piensan que lo cognitivo y lo afectivo mantienen relaciones de mutua dependencia.

  In this paper we focus, from an evolutionary standpoint, on some of the issues arising in the so-called mathematical affective domain, taking the rejection of mathematics as our main focal point. Our data, taking as their reference point the results of a logistic regression model, support the existence of a vicious cycle: difficulty - boredom - poor grades - fatalism - low self-perception - demotivation - rejection - difficulty.
