Resumen de El desarrollo de la identidad cultural mediante la obra de Guayasamín, “La Capilla del Hombre”

  El objetivo general de la investigación fue analizar el desarrollo de la identidad cultural mediante la obra de Guayasamín, “La Capilla del Hombre”. El método empleado en la investigación se basó en el enfoque cualitativo, apoyado en la recolección y análisis de una tipología documental-bibliográfica, lo cual permitió organizar un análisis del objeto de estudio. Se tomó en consideración un fenómeno que se manifiesta en la esfera subjetiva de la realidad. Se concluye que, la obra de Guayasamín es un reservorio de cultura e identidad. Constituye un medio de reconocimiento y de defensa del indígena ecuatoriano, discriminado a lo largo del tiempo. Trasmite el artista, a través de su pincel, la realidad que le tocó vivir y llama la atención sobre la necesidad de comprenderla, solidarizarse con ella y transformarla; su arte se presenta como una síntesis de diversos aspectos característicos del Ecuador.

  The general objective of the research was to analyze the development of cultural identity through Guayasamín's work, "La Capilla del Hombre". The method used in the research was based on a qualitative approach, supported by the collection and analysis of a documentary-bibliographic typology. This made it possible to organize an analysis of the object of study. A phenomenon that manifests itself in the subjective sphere of reality was taken into consideration. It is concluded that Guayasamin's work is a reservoir of culture and identity. It constitutes a means of recognition and defense of the indigenous Ecuadorian, discriminated against over time. Through his brush, the artist conveys the reality he has lived through and draws attention to the need to understand it, to be in solidarity with it and to transform it; his art is presented as a synthesis of various characteristic aspects of Ecuador
