Resumen de Diseño y construcción de una máquina para la poda de palmeras

  Resulta evidente la proliferación de los diferentes tipos de palmeras como planta ornamental a lo largo y ancho de la Península Ibérica, en especial en la zona mediterránea.

  Mayoritariamente, las especies utilizadas son las Phoenix y las Wasihngtonias, todas ellas son plantas que acaban alcanzando un elevado porte y gran envergadura. Además, son plantas con un alto valor económico debido a su dificultad para su reproducción, y con alto valor ecológico, tanto por su belleza como por su estética.

  Entre las labores de mantenimiento y de conservación más importantes que estas plantas precisan, está la de la poda de las hojas que cada año hay que cortarles para favorecer su crecimiento y renovación.

  Estas labores son extremadamente complejas cuando las plantas empiezan a alcanzar un cierto porte, ya que es preciso que el operario trepe por el tronco hasta alcanzar las zonas de las hojas, y una vez allí corte las hojas precisen para dejarlas caer al suelo.

  Esta labor resulta extremadamente peligrosa para el operario desde el punto de vista de la Seguridad y la Salud del mismo, y también peligrosa para la planta por las heridas que se le originan al subir y bajar por el tronco.

  Por ello, se trabaja en estos momentos en el diseño de una máquina que, guiada desde el suelo, trepe por el tronco de la palmera, sin causar daño al vegetal, y llegue hasta la parte de las hojas para proceder a su poda, y aplicación de los productos fitosanitarios que sean precisos.

  The proliferation is evident from the different types from palms as it plants ornamental all over the Iberian Peninsula, in special in the Mediterranean zone. Mainly, the used species are the Phoenix and the Washingtonians, all of them are plants that end up reaching a high bearing and great spread. In addition, they are plants with a high economic value due to his difficulty for his reproduction, and with high ecological value, as much by its beauty as by his aesthetic one.

  Between the workings of more important maintenance and conservation that these plants need, she is the one of the pruning of the leaves that every year there are to cut to them to favour its growth and renovation.

  These workings are extremely complex when plants begin to reach certain bearing, since it is precise that the worker climbs up the trunk until reaching the zones of the leaves, and once cuts the leaves there need to drop them to the ground.

  This work is extremely dangerous for the worker from the point of view from the Security and the same Health from, and the also dangerous one for the plant by the wounds that are originated to him when raising and lowering by the trunk.

  For that reason, one works at the moment in the design of a machine that, guided from the ground, climbs up the trunk of the palm, without causing damage to the vegetable, and arrives to the part of the leaves to come to its pruning, and application of the chemical products that are necessary.
